PHOTOGRAPHY is the science,art, application and practice of creating durable images by recording light or other electromagnetic radiation, either electronically by means of an image sensor, or chemically by means of a light-sensitive material such as photographic film.
So, this was the definition of photography. Since 19 august is celebrated as world photographers day, we shall talk about the history of photography. World photography day is all about celebrating photography, whether you are an amateur, hobbyist or a professional. However, it is important to understand the origin and the significance of the day! It originated after the invention of the DAGUERREOTYPE photographic processes,developed by Joseph Nicephore Niepce and Louis Daguerre in 1837. But on August 19,1839, the French government announced the invention as the first practical gift to the world. In a way this was the true beginning of the World photography Day.
Imagine the world without cameras would it be possible to capture the memories without any camera? Absolutely not! Cameras help to capture the memories spent. Photography is an invention that has revolutionised the way we see the world. It is just not about the equipment and that mindsets need to be changed. Photography is all about study of light, composition and a good understanding of your own equipment. Photograph freezes the moment of life and it hold the capability of making you experience that moment again. From this we can understand the importance of photography.
